The Hotel Redesign - Bhuj

This project explores the redesign of key hotel spaces in Bhuj, Gujarat, including the restaurant, kitchen, reception, courtyard, and work café. The goal is to integrate modern functionality and comfort while preserving the essence of traditional Gujarati architecture. Guided by an “Earthy Traditional” concept, the design blends contemporary sensibilities with locally rooted elements. Natural materials, warm earthy tones, textured surfaces, and handcrafted details reflect the region’s cultural identity. Architectural features such as arches, courtyards, and patterned surfaces are reinterpreted in a clean, modern language. Thoughtful layouts, lighting, and furniture enhance usability and comfort, creating welcoming spaces that respect local heritage while delivering a refined and contemporary hospitality experience.
