Adobe has officially brought its powerhouse video editor Premiere to the iPhone. Long trusted by YouTubers, filmmakers, and music video editors, Premiere is now reimagined for mobile, giving creators the freedom to produce polished, professional-quality videos without being tied to a desktop.

So, what’s new here? A lot. The Premiere mobile app is free to download and offers everything from precision editing on a lightning-fast multi-track timeline to studio-grade audio tools powered by AI. Think crystal-clear voiceovers with Enhance Speech, perfectly timed soundscapes with Generative Sound Effects, and even instant background removal. For creators who want to take it up a notch, there are upgrade options for extra storage and AI credits.

“Premiere on iPhone makes it easy for creators to craft and share stories on mobile with studio-quality audio, precise editing tools and stunning visuals—anytime, anywhere,” says Mike Polner, VP of Product Marketing at Adobe.

The app doesn’t just mimic its desktop sibling—it’s optimized for mobile-first workflows. You can film, edit, and publish straight from your phone, or start a project on iPhone and finish it later in Premiere Pro on desktop. That flexibility makes it ideal for short films, TikTok edits, YouTube vlogs, podcasts, or even cleaning up live-stream clips on the fly.

Here’s what stands out in Premiere for iPhone:

  • Unlimited multi-track timeline editing with 4K HDR support, smooth speed changes, and animated captions.

  • AI-driven audio for studio-quality sound, including background cleanup and dynamic effects.

  • Generative AI features like stickers, background expansion, and even image-to-video tools.

  • Access to millions of free creative assets—stickers, fonts, stock music—baked right in.

  • One-tap social exports, with auto-resizing to fit TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and more.

And the best part? It’s built natively for iOS, meaning it runs fast, feels intuitive, and avoids the clutter (yes, it’s watermark-free too).

For now, Premiere is live on iPhone worldwide via the App Store, with an Android version in the works.
