Let the Pencil Flow

Illustrator, Prathamesh Shedge, represents that the one’s best work comes out of one’s own emotions and experiences. Letting them flow through his pencil, he sketches his way through the canvas, always trusting in the process.

Prathamesh uses art as a form of therapy to understand and illustrate what he feels. His artwork is very much connected to him and his world, getting inspired by his surroundings, emotions and experiences.

He considers sketching the most important aspect of his life, even while keen to try out different styles. It has helped him explore boundaries he initially considered impossible to surpass. He finds sketching to be a much more effective method of conveying his thoughts and designs than verbal explanation, and also as great way to conceptualise and come up with new ideas.

Prathamesh believes in trusting one’s own emotions and letting them flow through the pencil, while not being afraid to make mistakes. His mantra is 'Whatever you do, however bad it maybe, it is a starting point, and that does not define who you are. Never give up on yourself. Never stop sketching'.
