For Aparna, the idea for Antinorm came from observing how impractical most beauty routines are, promising results but demanding more steps than real life feasibly allows. Antinorm was created to simplify this experience, creating products that reduce time-intensive steps while maintaining performance.
Each product is designed to be multifunctional, adapting to different needs and environments without adding complexity. This thinking extended beyond product development, as the brand itself needed to match the logic of utility and honesty over meaningless aspiration.
This clarity became the foundation for every decision that followed.
The design brief was to build a system that communicates function clearly and works consistently across touchpoints. To achieve this, Stratedgy began with research, mapping user behaviour and identifying how consumers interact with beauty products in real-life scenarios.
