Hitachi has officially unveiled its first major brand refresh in 25 years, and it’s all about embracing a future-proof, digital-first identity. With a new brand ethos, "True One Hitachi," this evolution aims to unify the company’s diverse businesses under a single, modernised visual system—while still honouring its rich legacy.
At the heart of this transformation is an updated logo that retains the boldness of Hitachi’s heritage wordmark but introduces a sharper, more contemporary edge. Supporting this shift is Hitachi Sans, a custom typeface designed to serve as the brand’s new signature, reinforcing its strong and authoritative presence across all platforms.
Hitachi has also embraced a more refined color palette, leaning on deep blues and reds to create a sleek yet dynamic visual language. This is complemented by 3D tonal textures that add depth and movement to the brand’s assets, reinforcing its forward-thinking approach. The new identity will roll out officially on April 1, 2025, coinciding with Toshiaki Tokunaga’s appointment as Hitachi’s new President and CEO.
