Max Fashion has unveiled its newest 13,000 sq. ft. flagship store in Bangalore, the first expression of its refreshed retail identity designed by Landor. The new format reimagines what everyday fashion can feel like in India: dynamic, modular, and constantly evolving.

In an increasingly competitive and often undifferentiated value-fashion market, Max sought to build deeper emotional resonance with its consumers. It is all about moving beyond a purely transactional experience and creating a retail environment that continually inspires and delights a generation driven by newness and self-expression. As Max scales across 600 stores nationwide, from metros to tier 3 towns, this experience system ensures every space stays fresh, flexible, and attuned to the rhythm of its customers.

At the heart of the design is the Infinity Canvas, a modular framework that allows for endless permutations across zones and fixtures. Continuous grids, open zones, and translucent layers create visual rhythm and a sense of flow and discovery throughout the store, allowing layouts to evolve with every season and story.

The result: a space that feels alive, new, and different every time you enter.

“The challenge was ensuring that elevated design didn’t create distance. We focused on building a space where every customer, from metros to tier towns, feels both understood and inspired. It’s value fashion, reimagined through a more expressive and premium lens. In value fashion, premium doesn’t have to mean exclusive. Our approach was to craft an environment that raises the experience without raising barriers. The new Max experience identity delivers the joy of discovery while staying deeply connected to the customer it has always served.” - Vishal Patankar (Executive Client Director, Landor)

We wanted to redefine value fashion for a new generation, being aspirational, dynamic, and elevated, yet unmistakably Max. The experience feels premium, but its inclusivity is what makes it truly future-ready."

The customer journey begins with the First Look Lane, a zone that brings freshness up front by showcasing new drops each week. Trending Now portals frame and highlight what’s current, while thoughtful lighting layers bring depth and focus to key fashion stories. A neutral palette and soft contrasts set the stage for the product to shine, making the clothes and the customer’s ‘new you’ moment the real hero.

With its Bangalore flagship, Max Fashion signals a new chapter in its retail story - one that is built for scale, designed for discovery, and endlessly new by design.

"Appointment of Landor India as a `New Retail ID Consultant' was a significant milestone in the journey of our Max Brand new retail ID development. It was amazing and very much satisfying to deal with them on every aspect of look and feel and functionality part of all the assets of the new ID store that have been developed, which resulted in flying colours and furnished huge success." - Vaibhav Parab (Vice President & Head  Projects, Lifestyle International India)
