Marching to the Beat of His Own (Untitled) Army

What happens when a globally successful creative director trades corporate campaigns for sketchbooks, 3D modelling, and the surreal world of personal expression? Born in Brazil and classically trained in visual design, Lucas started his career designing stationery for Tilibra before leaping into the advertising world. His talent quickly took him to New York, where he worked at Ogilvy as a Design Director/Creative Director, contributing to campaigns for global giants like Nike, Coca-Cola, and Ikea. But something deeper was calling.

In 2017, Lucas pivoted. He embraced the unpredictability of art, launching Untitled Army as a daily sketch challenge. What began as a quiet commitment quickly transformed into a full-fledged digital army—over 1,200 unique 3D characters—each one a story, an emotion, a spark of imagination.

His work blends the playful and profound, drawing from surrealism, storytelling, and bold visual experimentation. The characters are quirky yet thoughtful, often existing in universes that feel just familiar enough to make you smile—and strange enough to make you look twice.
