Ashwini had a knack for drawing as a child, and was inspired by the works of M. F. Hussain through her years growing up. After gaining more knowledge in the creative field, she decided to pursue designing with a focus in illustration.

Her illustration style leans towards minimalism and simplicity. The art style here juxtapositions basic shapes to create interesting compositions. She chose an appropriate colour palette to bring about a synergy through the illustration with a little variation. The animals are portrayed in an outside setting, which allows for tints of blue and green as the background colours with a mix of dark colours for the animals.

Inspiration for art is nothing else but art, believes Ashwini, and it can be found in every form. She also looks at various styles by artists from the design field. Mark Conlan is her biggest inspiration though. She finds the vibrancy in his art very mesmerising.

Ashwini explains, change is the only constant and the design trends are no exception. Change is necessary, or there would be monotony both for the art creator and the consumer at large. Changing trends inspire and promote more changes that lead to a greater good. In her opinion, the future of design lies in minimalism, bold styles, colour gradations, 3D typography, isometric forms and meaningful art that break stereotypes.

Ashwini wants to take her illustrative work to a higher level each day with more learning, more improvement, a never ending process. And in this way try and be an inspiration for more art, better art.
