Unni's passion for art ignited at an early age when he would sketch funny drawings of his friends. As he reminisces, he shares, "Even though my sketches didn't always capture their likeness, I could convey their actions and characteristics more accurately, and they appreciated it." Inspired by comics and animated films, Unni immersed himself in the world of storytelling through sketches. His talent caught the attention of the renowned Toonz Academy, where he embarked on a one-year Diploma in Visual Arts, opening doors to a world of endless possibilities.

Unni's educational journey proved to be a crucial stepping stone in his artistic growth. At Toonz Academy, he was exposed to a wealth of knowledge and experience. Recalling his time there, Unni shares, "We watched a lot of Disney animation movies, movies by Studio Ghibli, and studied the works of master artists." The academy's comprehensive curriculum encompassed fundamental classes in anatomy, storyboarding, sketching, and even acting, providing Unni with a well-rounded artistic foundation. Additionally, his dedication to self-improvement led him to explore online tutorials and software classes, expanding his skill set and refining his artistic prowess.

For Unni, a fulfilling day as a concept artist begins with a morning ritual of doodling in his sketchbook, a process that fuels his creative energy. "I start working early in the morning when there are fewer interruptions, allowing me to focus and boost my productivity," he shares. Collaborating with designers, Unni delves into the depths of his imagination to explore rough concepts, ensuring each piece exudes freshness and uniqueness.

Witnessing the final results of his labor, knowing that his creations will be experienced and appreciated by thousands, brings him immense joy. Unni's dedication to storytelling through his art shines through in every stroke.

Reflecting on his decision, Unni reveals, "I was always fascinated by the designs, concepts, and storyboards of master artists.

I come from a lush green village called Kombanad, and the greenery of my village, rivers, and hills inspired me to create paintings." Unni's passion for challenging designs and the allure of a well-paying job in the gaming industry motivated him to pursue his offbeat and enchanting profession.
