Empowering Indian Users to Embrace Cryptocurrency with PocketBits

Initially, it was a challenge to understand the in-depth working of the Cryptocurrency world. Also, while most Indians were aware of the concept of cryptocurrency, the uncertainty, doubts, speculations, and reservations were dominant instincts and hence, the user base was still hesitant about trading in it. While many cryptocurrency apps were existent, none were catering to the Indian common man.

Define

To overcome the challenge of how the user would accept this fresh concept, workshops and exercises were conducted to empathise with the user. Since this space was up-and-coming, there were no solid results to rely on. So the whole process was immensely iterative, with countless feedback loops.

A structure was designed that boasts of an uncomplicated 3-step onboarding process. And also the buying and selling virtual currency has never been quicker!

Design

A new-age visual language was chosen to disrupt the Cryptocurrency domain. The logo design also played an important role in this. The logo was conceptualised on the 'infinite possibilities' that were at hand, hence the infinity symbol was united with the letters ‘P’ and ‘b’ (‘P’ and ‘b’ from PocketBits) to create the logomark.

A platform that displays a lot of text, especially numbers, needed to be easy on the eye, hence the softer colours such as aqua and magenta pastel were used across. For better readability, the font ‘Titilium Web’ was used as it has good line spacing and can be read even with the smaller sizes.

The unique and vibrant infographics were used for breaking the monotony of numbers; these illustrations not only ease understanding but also grab the user’s attention instantly.
