Pavan Rajurkar, a talented visual artist and seasoned freelancer, is back to share his insights on the delicate interplay between creativity and money in the freelancing world.
It’s wonderful to have you back, Pavan! Last time we discussed the marriage of traditional and digital aspects of design. This time, let’s delve into the intricate balance between creativity and money in the freelancing world. How have your experiences since our last conversation shaped your perspective on this delicate interplay?
Thank you for having me back. It’s great to be here again. Since our last conversation, my experiences in the world of freelancing have continued to evolve, and I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the delicate balance between creativity and money in this industry, especially in the context of the dynamic Indian market.
I’ve been freelancing since 2013, and over the years, I’ve come to realise that managing finances in this field is a constantly changing and challenging endeavour. India’s design and creative industry is highly competitive, and staying adaptable and open to new opportunities is essential. What I’ve found to be most beneficial is my ability to connect with a wide network of people. Building and nurturing relationships in the freelancing world is just as crucial as honing your creative skills. These connections have been instrumental in shaping my perspective on the financial aspects of freelancing.
