Influenced by the traditional style of Kerela Mural Paintings, artist Shilgil Narayanan credits the warmth of colours and beauty behind this art style for real inspiration behind his mural paintaing. Most intresting aspect of traditional Kerela murals is ‘Pancha-Varna’ a colour scheme using 5 colours - red, yellow, blue, green and black, which can be seens evidently in his artworks.

Shigil enjoys the pressure of making something new every time to match the expectation of the viewer and feels the importance of challenges it brings, which has made him a versatile designer from just a mural artist.

He suggests that every artist has his own way of expressing beauty and one should always view with an open vision which is free of any convention.
