Kagayaki combines modern LED technology with traditional Japanese wood joinery techniques, creating a balance between innovation and craftsmanship. The design merges the softness of a circle with the structure of a square through a central squircle form, with gently rounded edges that give it a harmonious and sleek appearance. Emphasising simplicity, functionality, and clean lines, the lamp pairs natural wood with a smooth matte surface to create a calm, refined aesthetic.

This project presents the design and development of a bio-inspired table lamp created for a DIY lighting solutions portfolio. The concept explores a fully 3D-printed product that incorporates live hinges, snap-fit joints, and adaptable components, allowing for easy, tool-free assembly while maintaining a refined and sophisticated aesthetic. The lamp was designed for the company Bhilight during my internship in Pune.
