Yohann Azancot didn’t set out to be an illustrator. “Honestly, it all started by chance,” he admits. Fresh out of school and unsure about the future, he stumbled into visual communication. Over time, what started as an exploration turned into a full-blown career.

Inspired by Art History’s Rebels

Yohann’s style? Bold, geometric, and unapologetically colourful. His influences are just as diverse. “I’m drawn to Dalí’s surreal worlds and Fauvism’s wild colours,” he says. Cubism’s fragmented perspectives inspire him to break things down, while Pointillism keeps him grounded with its balance and precision.

Craft Meets Tech

Though he’s a digital artist, Yohann hasn’t abandoned the old-school ways. “I still love hand-drawing,” he shares. There’s something raw and organic about it that digital tools can’t replicate. But he’s also a fan of precision—and that’s where tools like Procreate and Illustrator come in. “Digital lets me fine-tune things in ways traditional methods don’t”.
